This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still dose not fit, contact a qualified electrician to
install the proper outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way.

3. βNever operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped
or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized dealer or service center for
examination, repair, electrical or mechanical adjustment.β
4. βNever operate the appliance with any air openings blocked. Keep ventilation openings of the sewing machine
and foot controller free from the accumulation of lint, dust and loose cloth.β
5. βKeep fingers away from all moving parts. Special care is required around the sewing machine needle.β
6. βAlways use the proper needle plate. The wrong plate can cause the needle to break.β
7. βDo not use bent needles.β
8. βDo not pull or push fabric while stitching. It may deflect the needle causing it to break.β
9. βSwitch the sewing machine off ("O") when making any adjustments in the needle area, such as threading
needle, changing needle, threading bobbin, or changing presser foot and the like.β
10. βAlways unplug sewing machine from the electrical outlet when removing covers, lubricating, or when making
any other user servicing adjustments mentioned in the instruction manual.β
11. βNever drop or insert any object into any opening.β
12. βDo not use outdoors.β
13. βDo not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.β
14. βTo disconnect, turn all controls to the off (βOβ) position, then remove plug from outlet.β
15. βDo not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.β

βThis sewing machine is intended for household use only.β
Use only foot controller YC-485 with your HZL-E71.
Be sure to turn power switch OFF and disconnect
the plug from the wall outlet before replacing the
sewing machine needle or lubricating the machine.
When not in use, be sure to turn power switch
OFF and unplug the machine.
Do not use thinner or other similar solvents to clean
the machine.
Do not expose the machine to direct sunlight or
humid atmosphere.
